The Constitution clearly lays out the Enumerated Powers allowed
to the Federal Government. In Section 8; Clause 1-18 the power
of the Federal Government are clearly laid out. I have asked for a
Budget from the CBO on the estimated cost of those provisions.
I await their answer.
We need a Budget Process that actually works, I've read several
ideas, but one thing remains clear, we cannot use POLITICAL jargon
to describe the problem. IE. A deficit means you have NO MORE
MONEY.
There is not one Household or Company in America that can spend
money so carelessly as our Government. This goes for Federal,
State and Local Governments. The Federal Government has a
license to steal by printing money and reducing it's value.
If we only collected a Tariff Tax on Imports into this country we
could easily provide payment for the Enumerated Powers of the
Federal Government. Repeal "Favored Nation Trading Status."
Personal Income Taxes, could be used by the individual States to
support programs that the residents of those state choose.
